Keywords,Title tag,Meta description and Alt text ?
Keywords :
- Keywords are words or phrases that user type or search on any search engine to find something what they are looking for.
- It plays an important role in the website ranking and is heart of on-page optimization.
- For example, If a user type “buy laptop” in Google search box, then the keyword or key phrase is “buy laptop”. On the basis of searched keywords, Google will display the search results.
- Search engines look at the quality of the content on any page and It also includes the keywords used on that particular page.
- Keywords can be used in Page Titles, Meta Descriptions, Subheadings, URLs, Content of the Page, Link Anchor Text, within descriptive alt attribute for images and so on.
- Donot use excess keywords on a single page,otherwise that will called keyword stuffing which is not good for SEO.
Short tail keywords & Long tail keywords :
Short tail keywords :
- A short tail keyword is a phrase that include three words or less.
- Examples : “pizza delivery” , “best phone” etc.
Long tail keywords :
- Long tail keywords are phrases that include more than three words.
- They are more targeted keywords.
- Examples : “Digital Marketing In Purnea” , “Facebook Marketing For Small Business“.
Keyword Research :
- The process of finding the relevant keywords for your website is known as Keyword Research.
- In order to use keywords, you have to search the best keywords for your website or blog.
- The research starts by listing down the keywords related to your domain or the keywords for which you want to rank.
- There are various tools for keyword research like SEMrush,Google Adwords Keyword Planner,Bing Keyword Research,Ubbersuggest etc.
Title tag :
- It is an HTML element which defines the title of a webpage.
- It appears on search engine result page(SERPs) as headline for the given result.
- Length of meta title should be between 50-70 characters for good SEO.
- They are a major factor in helping search engines to understand what your page is about.
- Title must be unique that will help search engines to understand that your content is unique and valuable.
- Use focused keywords in title.

Meta description :
- It is also an HTML element which gives the brief summary of webpage.
- This snippet of text which appear in the search engine results under your headline.
- Length of meta description should be between 120-150 characters for good SEO.
- Don’t include double quotation marks(” “) because Google reject that description at the quotation mark when it appears on a SERP.

Alt text :
- It is used within an HTML code that describe the appearance and function of an image on webpage.
- It is also known as “alt attributes” , “alt description” or “alt tags”.
- Alt tags will be displayed in place of an image if an image file cannot be loaded.
- Alt tags provide better image descriptions to search engine crawlers that help them to index an image properly.
- Don’t include “image of,” “picture of,” etc. in alt text.
