1) Bird Flu is a viral infection which spreads from bird to bird.It is caused by type A influenza viruses.

2) It occurs naturally in wild birds and aquatic birds.

3) The virus develop in the form of low-pathogenic avian influenza(LPAI).

4) It has two forms.one is mild form and second is fatal form which can cause death within 24 hours of the first appearance of symptoms.

5) These viruse can spread directly from bird to bird,from farm to farm,clothing,vechiles and shoes.

6) Rats can also carry the virus on their feet.

7) The virus can survive in water up to four days.

8) It can spread from the infected poultry and where virus can be tramismitted to human with infected birds.

9) Symptoms :

– Severe illness

– Pneumonia

– Organ failure

– Respiratory diseases

10) Treatment :

– Antiviral medication like oseltamivir(Tamiflu) or zanamivir(Relenza) can help to reduce the severity of the disease.

– Doctors can place you on a breathing machine if you have severe infection.

11) Precautions :

– Get contactless with poultry or farms and pigs at market.

– Wash your hand regularly.

– Carry disinfectants,thermometers and antiviral drugs If you are travelling to infected regions.

– Consult the doctor immediately in case of suspected infection.

– Import and export of birds,feathers and eggs must be strictly prohibited.

– If you find any dead bird then first contact to local authorities and after their suggestion try to simply dispose the bird’s body,donot handle it with your bare hands.Use gloves or an inverted plastic bags.
